Lolita Lempicka Perfumes

French designer Lolita Lempicka started her career in thw world of fashion in the year 1984. Her style is often nostalgic and magical, reflecting the designs of the 1940s and playing with the mysterious charms of fairies. She challenged the traditional classic themes of the earlier genre and embraced the glamor of modern fashion to create a collection which is aptly described as an ode to femininity.

In 1997, Lolita created her first perfume,”Lolita Lempicka”. This floral-fruity gourmand centers on licorice notes. The more pronounced top notes are decorated by paler elements such as iris, violet, anise seed, vanilla, tonka bean, vetiver and musk. Often alluded to Thierry Mugler’s Angel, Lolita Lempicka positions itself in the market as an entirely different creation that does not, in any way, mimics the famous gourmand fragrance. Lolita Lempicka is more artistically crafted: the top notes are fruity sans the jarring notes of patchouli (Angel’s perennial accord); an earthy base follows that diffuses the chocolate and vanilla components; in the dry down, a tamed toasty finish sits on the background rendering a powdery-like impression in the long run.

After winning several awards for Parfums Lolita Lempicka including the Best Women’s Fragrance in 1998, the fragrance house introduced more variations of the Lempicka in the years that followed.

L de Lolita Lempicka is a fresh oriental fragrance with cinnamon and neroli dominating the notes. The head notes start off with zesty mandarin and bittersweet spices. It dries down to a warm, sensual base of vanilla and woods. An excellently-concocted gourmand, L de Lolita is an oriental sweet-spice indulgence.

Lolita Lempicka Forbidden Flower is a flanker of the original. This fragrance is touted as a fresher version than that of its parent. While it is still gourmand in composition, Forbidden Flower is paler and lighter. The flowers in the notes a summer-y essence and less of the bon-bon territory of the first Lempicka perfume.

Pending its release in the perfumery market next year, Si Lolita is the latest fragrance from Lolita Lempicka. It’s the scent of happiness, according to Lolita. Looking at the notes (bergamot, mandarin, pink pepper, sweet peas, elemi, patchouli, amber and tonka), Si Lolita is another oriental-floral in the making. The addition of elemi,a gum resin known to produce a fresh, citrus and balsamic-like scent, and sweet peas to the perfume’s overall repertoire is something to look forward to.

The elegance and sophistication of the Lolita Lempickas may come at a hefty price in popular perfume kiosks in the mall. The good news is that you can get the same Lempicka experience at discount perfumes online .
