Fashion For The Ski Slopes

by Kenneth Cole Shoes on April 17, 2010

Whether you are a first time skier or very experienced at the sport you will want to look good when you get ready to hit the slopes. In addition to looking good, it is important that you have clothing that allows you freedom of movement but also keeps you warm. The following tips may help.

It is important that your clothing wick away moisture from your body. If you have moisture trapped inside you clothing, you will be miserable no matter how much clothing you are wearing. New fabrics used in thermals help in this process.

You will need a ski parka. These jackets have also slimmed down through the years. A parka with a removable lining will keep you warmer. The outer shell will keep you dry and the inner lining can easily be removed for cleaning.

When choosing pants for skiing, make sure that they have snow cuffs. These cuffs help to keep the snow on the outside, even when you slide down the hill rather than ski down it.

It is easy to work up a sweat when skiing. Dressing in layers allows you to remove one or more layers if you get too warm. In addition, the layers also help to keep moisture from collecting near your body.

Do not forget the importance of brain protection. A simple ski helmet could have prevented many skiers from paralysis or even death. Remember that you are traveling at a fairly high rate of speed on skis.

Choose a black helmet and you will not have to replace it every time you get new ski outerwear. If you have more than one set of outerwear for the trip the one helmet will match everything. Remember the helmet to protect your brain from a serious or fatal brain injury.

Do not forget to bring your men’s sport watch. It will let you know when your are to meet your group for lunch or serve as an alarm clock in the morning and allow you to know if you have time for another run before it is time to head back to your room for the night or out on the town.

Planning ahead is a key to having clothing and protective gear that is needed while on the ski slopes. It allows you to choose clothing that is both fashionable and warm. Having the correct clothing can make your ski vacation much more enjoyable.

Get an Enell sports bra. It will hold you in without a doubt. Sometimes I go with a regular bra and a sports bra but I don't need that with an Enell bra. Trust me, this thing is going to keep you in.
