Clothes Encounter the Business World – Overview

by Kenneth Cole Shoes on October 15, 2009

It’s difficult to decide if people lost sight of the relevance of appearance or don’t know what to wear to work to professional success. Altogether situations, business and social, our outward appearance sends a message. Think of how you feel when you’re dressed in your casual dress as different than your usual business attire. Your choice of business apparelspeaks to your professional behavior and credibility.

In men’s jeans, fashion doesn’t change significantly from season to season but business attire is about being professional and not about being fashionable. Dressing for success is still the rule. A solid blue or white evening shirt with long sleeves offers the urbanest look. Shoes should without question be conservative, clean and well polished. Don’t think for a minute that people don’t notice shoes. Belts need to match or closely coordinate with your shoes. The capstone for the business man is his choice of accessories: briefcase, portfolio and pen.

While the business woman may now wear trousers to work, she does it out of a desire to appear professional and at the same time enjoy the flexibility and comfort that pants offer over skirts. As is overall rules apply to women’s work attire as apply to men’s. Business clothing isn’t a reflection of the latest fashion trend. Start with a skirted suit or trouser suit for the most cautious look. The most professional is a skirted suit. Avoid extremes, pants should break at the top of the shoe or foot. Women need to wear hose in the business world. Never wear dark hose with light-colored clothing or shoes. Just chose conservative shoes to focus in business. Accessories should reflect your personality, not diminish your credibility.

Business attire is different from weekend and evening dress. Investing in a good business wardrobe is an investment in your professional future. Business skills and experience count, but so does personal appearance and that crucial for first impression.

Check out Twenty-X jeans at Denimexpress.com.
I know this sounds a little wierd but you might try women's jeans. They usually carry a 34" length (L). A 30" waist would probably be a size 6 or 8 Miss and a 7 or 9 Juniors.
I have been wearing women's mid-rise and low rise jeans for about a year now. I like the fit and feel better than guys jeans. I don't like baggy jeans.
