Most women will tell you that it is never too soon to consider the options when it comes to swim wear, and it is never too cold or hot to decide which bathing suit that you have seen on the fashion runways being worn by swimsuit models would look the best on you. But then again, some women cringe when they simply hear the word swimsuit, as they are convinced that none of this seasons styles will look good on them.

Naturally, you want to look good in a bathing suit; however, most do not know how to help this along. And truthfully, many of the salespeople that assist you do not have a clue as to what would look best on you. Usually they are just trying to make a sale and the more expensive the better. However, that does not mean that a sexy bikini, a speedo swimwear selection or a one piece swimsuit would not look good on you. Even one of the newer tankinis may be a good choice. Perhaps just a little advice on how to work with what you have is needed.

For example, some women have a smaller bust line, yet still want to enhance what they have. There are many ways to accomplished this. A bikini swimsuit top that has shaped cups or triangular shaped cups is good for giving a curvy appearance. The bikini tops that tie in the front can be altered so that there is the appearance of more curves and cleavage by making the ties a little tighter. You can always add a ruffle or perhaps a bow to give the impression of more. Do not wear tube or bandeau tops as they actually detract from the appearance of a smaller bust.

Under wires are the best way to support larger breasts; however, they do nothing to help downplay the size of your bust. If you want help minimize how large your bust appears, then avoid triangular tops or the smaller ones with no coverage. Also, if you are set on a two piece swimsuit, then avoid a top with slender or small straps, as they do not give adequate support and may actually make breasts appear larger.

If a woman with a short torso chooses the wrong swimsuit, then it may make her appear blockier than she really is, yet a properly fitted suit may give the appearance of the torso being longer. If your torso is short, then match up with the bikini bottom that fits low on your hips. Show some skin above the waist with a halter top that attracts attention to your chest and shoulders. If your torso is longer, then consider trying a suit that is cut higher on the leg, giving the appearance of added length to your legs. No matter what type of body shape you have, the most important thing is to buy a suit that fits properly.
